THE MISSION
INSTITUTING THE HOLY AL-QURÁN AS
A COMPULSORY TEXT BOOK IN SCHOOLS,
COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES OF THE WORLD
| The above mission
started a decade ago by way of promoting the idea and contacting various governments. By now some of the countries have taken up the idea and made Al-Qurán as a compulsory text book at their school level. Organization of Islamic conference (O.I.C.) is going to include the item on its agenda, for reviewing a recommendation to its member countries to include Al-Qurán as a compulsory subject for their Muslim pupils; as the formalities in this connection have been completed. Representatives are working to promote this mission in the Muslim institutions of some of the non-muslin countries. A syllabus as to how to teach Al-Qurán as a subject in schools has already been compiled in English language. The second and improved edition of this syllabus treatise has been completed,and translation of the same in other languages is in progress. As a logical and second step in pursuing the idea, a syllabus for teaching Al-Qurán in the higher secondary schools and universities to science students is now ready for application at the appropriate levels. The mission is being carried out and all are requested to pray to the Almighty Allah to award success in this endeavor.
